S2Ep15: Helping Kids Read with Virtual Books with VOOKS' Shannon Bex

by Adam & Naresh | The Work From Home Show

Reading is the foundation for children’s learning, but sometimes between the 50th and 150th time reading you start to think there MUST be another way to read it.

Shannon Bex is Co-founder & Chief Communications Officer of VOOKS, which is a newstreaming platform that is unlike any other streaming service available today by adding movement and sound to original storybook art. Vooks is only a few years old and already has over a million users in 175 different countries!

Shannon is also a singer, reality show personality, professional dancer, and a member of the girl group Danity Kane. The group was founded by P. Diddy through the MTV reality television series Making the Band 4. Danity Kane’s debut album debuted at No. 1 in August 2006, as did their second album Welcome to the Dollhouse in March 2008. Shannon is also a member of the duo Dumblonde with fellow Danity Kane group member Aubrey O’Day.

Shannon joins Adam and Naresh to discuss her company and all the ways they’re working to improve children’s education.
